What are the Side Effects Associated with Kratom?
The most notable side effect reported is nausea. If kratom is consumed on an empty stomach, it sometimes causes the user discomfort in the form of nausea.
There are also reports that when an individual consumes too much kratom for their body to handle, they vomit. This is the natural way of telling you that you used too much for your bodies threshold. It is obviously best to back off on the dose if vomiting occurs.
Because kratom is a known sedative at higher amounts, another common side effect reported is sleepiness. Sometimes rather than vomit, an individual who consumes more than their body can handle may fall asleep following dosing.
And lastly regular kratom use may cause one to experience constipation. This can be remedied however with special attention to your diet.
So to summarize, the major side effects from kratom consumption are nausea, vomiting, sleepiness and constipation. Pretty mild, huh? There are no hallucinations, no "high" (although some may claim this in order to sell more), no hearing voices in your head telling you to jump off a bridge, etc... those are reserved by the chemical pharmaceuticals like LSD and peyote.
